Review: I wasn't sure what to expect from this one when I started it. There was a lot of surprise in it for me. Tom is interesting, he's highly intelligent and charismatic. It's evident very early on that he has issues at home, and he's taking medication which at first just seem to be for migraines. We find out later it's much worse than that. The surprises come when we find out the outcasts are outcast essentially because they're gay, the class president apparently became a douche for a while, the guy that seems like a jerk among the outcasts is just super protective, the flamboyant kid in the girls clothes has way more issues at home than meets the eye, and the last of the outcasts is just highly intelligent and unlike some of the others, has a stable life at home. I didn't expect some of the revelations in this book, especially with Tom, but I'm glad there was a happy ending at least.
