My attention now turns to continuing writing on the second book of the Coven series, Sunder. This one has been a bit difficult, and like the Dragon Hunters, might be at an end. Now, to be fair, both are ending in such a way that I can continue them at a later date but for right now, these will be the final books in these series.
Now that brings the question of why. No, I'm not going to stop writing. I already waited two years to put these books out. I simply have less inclination towards romance and these stories so clearly deal with romance and the concept of soul mates and life partners and marriage. I have the inspiration to finish these books. But I really want to focus more on the fantasy and paranormal from now on, and less on the romance. Not to say that there won't be realistic relationships in my future works, but that they won't be the central theme of the story.
I have done quite a bit of work on a third novel. Purely fantasy and I'm taking my time building this main character. He's a lot different than any of my previous characters in other series. He's not hyper masculine nor ultra feminine. I built the world he's in entirely, even creating new gods for it. So once Sunder is typed up and ended, I'll focus heavily on this one, which I still need to figure out a title for. Not sure if it'll be one long standalone novel or a series, but I'm leaning towards a series (i don't think short term). But that's all I have for now. Hopefully I can get some new works to review at least. I need to read a bit more too
