The Vengeance of Indra
(Vikramaditya Veergatha #3)
by Shatrujeet Nath
VENGEANCE IS A CAGE
FORGIVENESS IS FREEDOM
In their greed to possess the deadly Halahala, the devas and the asuras have employed every dirty trick against Vikramaditya and his Council of Nine. But the humans are still standing, bloodied but unbowed.
When the wily Shukracharya discovers the secret to breaking the Council’s strength and unity, he forges an unlikely alliance with his arch-enemy, Indra, to set a deceitful plan in motion.
As cracks emerge between the councilors and their king, ghosts from the past threaten to ruin Vikramaditya and Kalidasa’s friendship, signaling the beginning of an eclipse that will cast a long shadow over all that Vikramaditya holds dear. And into this shadow steps Indra, bearing an old grudge — and a devastating new weapon.
How much longer before the Guardians of the Halahala finally fall apart?

I didn't realize how long it had been since I'd actually posted on my own website. Can't have anyone thinking I've made career changes or anything like that. Plenty of updates to go over so let's get to it.
First, the Dragon Hunters series. If you've looked around enough you know this was my first and main series. The last book I published was Blood Monarch. I have actually been working on the follow up book for about a year and half. There's been a lot of arguing (in my head of course) about what all to include in this book even after I pretty much reached the ending. I debated on adding some more in the middle and finally as I have it written almost to the end decided to instead add a little something onto the end to tie things up neatly and gives the series a rest until the characters start talking a little more freely. The Coven series, my second series of course, will still keep going. I have a fair amount written on the second book but haven't picked it up in a while because I've been focused on the main series and getting that last book done. This second book is hopefully on my list to complete in 2018 and release. Now interestingly enough, I started a couple of new novels in the past couple of months. One is going to be more of a young adult fantasy. The other an adult fantasy that if I can get it going like I have pictured will be something of an epic. I think that one will turn out to be a trilogy. The contrast for me is that neither of these novels will be romances at all. In the interest of realism there may be some romantic elements if the characters need it, at least in the adult one, but no outright romance and sex like in the first two series. At least one of those will be finished and released in 2018, probably both as I'm in more of a fantasy mood than a romance mood these days anyway. There are some ideas for some novellas floating around, which may be more romance oriented. Whether or not those make it into fruition depends almost entirely on whether I enter a mood to write any romance again. That isn't to say I'm never ever going to write romance, just that the mood hasn't struck in quite some time. It's a writer thing that happens here and again. I have gotten some review requests which honestly I hadn't had time to take on. I will beginning to take some on in a reduced schedule as I don't want to overload myself. There may be a lot more book blitzes and the like for other authors as those are easier to put together and schedule to go up on a certain day. But I definitely want to get back into the flow of things. In the event that any authors are reading and have a book you need a review on feel free to send me a request. I'll take some of them on as time permits (I do have a day job) Now I realize of course that we're at the holidays so happy holidays to everyone. I'm off to make my dinner and get some writing done. |
